The new Display Series from Kyocera at ELECTRONICA Exhibition in Munich

November 2, 2004 - Kyocera Fineceramics will introduce its new V- Series of passive and active color liquid crystal display (LCD) modules at Electronica exhibition in Munich ( 9. – 12.11.2004 ) at hall A3, stand 363.

V- Series of passive and active color liquid crystal display
The V-Series is suitable for a wide variety of industrial control, industrial instrument, test and measurement, and medical instrument applications, and is a direct response to user requests for an LCD module that is easier to see and easier to use. The new series places the viewing area symmetrically within a narrower frame, which reduces the frame area by approximately 15% (compared to current Kyocera products). This represents a significant contribution to downsizing equipment. Also, while existing models require two input power sources, a logic power source and an LCD driving power source, the V-Series requires only a single logic power source, simplifying equipment design for the user. Moreover, each model has an array of features demanded of a display for diverse industrial applications. Their superior picture quality, viewing angle range, 25% increase in backlight life and the mechanical compatibility STN to TFT make them the perfect choice. Five types of screen sizes are available till now. Diagonals: 12 cm (4.7 STN model), 14 cm (5.7 STN and TFT model), 16 cm (6.2 STN and TFT model), 19 cm (7.5 STN and TFT model) and 23 cm (8.9 STN model).
